I have a screen for my HP. "Throw in the towel?
Well, I'm at a point not to do. Has come to hand a 17 "from a scrap yard with the intention of replacing the faulty screen HP. The laptop has already more than 10 stripes and is very annoying to work with.
do not know if the change or continue the fight against HP. If the change would serve to prove that the cause is in the screen itself, but on the other hand, might seem to throw in the towel.
wait one day more to see if at the end and the mediation of consumer protection service of my municipality get any positive response from HP. Otherwise proceed to the screen change.

Cause. Possible Cause
In the previous post commentary on the possibility that the cause of the stripes were due to the failure of some contacts in a BGA chip.
For your several comments that I have received and commentaries have appeared in other forums, it is confirmed that the problem is the LCD panel LG / PHILIPS carrying this laptop. Nothing to do with the BGA chips on the motherboard.
The problem is due to the failure of some contacts in the upper panel. The only solution is a new replacement or a team from a scrapyard.
